Influential Trailers

The Ward The Ward played a big part in the production of our trailer, The Ward gave the group inspiration due to the fact that its set in a mental asylum, the location gave us an idea for ours, we felt as if there couldn't be a much horrific place than a rundown mental asylum. As well as this, the plot of the story influenced our decision making because it involves something or someone tracking down the victims in the ward and killing them. The Blair Witch Project The Blair Witch Project is a brilliant film and gave us a specific point of inspiration, and this is the way in which its filmed. Its filmed from a point of view angle, handheld camera work and this influenced our trailer as we felt as if it was different but however it gave a sense of reality adventure to our trailer, its as if the teenagers are actually experiencing this for themselves and it is unique, not a massive amounts of horror films do this and for that reason we wanted to include that style of filming. Paranormal Activity Paranormal Activity influenced the danger within our trailer, we liked how scared it made the audience through the use of ghostly behaviour, we wanted to adopt this style of villain not only because it can be very effective if done correctly and also because we decided on our story line in which it was set in a mental asylum with a deadly ghost, and we figured that this would be a very good idea for our trailer.
